Our current specs use 8pt figure headers, 7.2 pt text on everything else except we use 6pt on the note text on the bottom that communicates “percentages don’t add up to 100 etc etc” and the like.
Univers Condensed is currently the font being used:
*Oblique variants are to be used sparingly and for words requiring definition or for emphasis (style)
Figures will be 960px wide on the web.
Figures in print appear in either 1-column or 2-column spans.
Safe area width for 1-column/dimensions: 288px or 4 in wide
Safe are width for 2-column/dimensions: 484.67 px or 6.7315 in wide
Height is variable for print. However, please bear in mind that we are limited in height to width ratio online. The taller a figure, the more it will be scaled online so the text may appear bigger than other shorter figures. Inversely, if a figure is very short and very wide, text will appear much smaller. To avoid a lot of scrolling please try to make figures less than 1000 px tall (preferably less than 800 px tall) when sized to 960 px wide.
